SUMMARY:Manheim Historical Society Christmas in Manheim
DESCRIPTION:The Manheim Historical Society will feature three of our facilities in the 2023 Tour of Homes. They will be open on Saturday from 1:00 PM 4:00 PM and Sunday from 12:30 PM 4:30 PM.\n\n1. The Fasig House at 30 East High Street is representative of the small houses once so prominent in Manheim in the late 1700s. Today\, the house is a museum containing many Manheim artifacts.2. One of the oldest log houses in Manheim\, the Keath House at 32 East High Street is a good example of Pennsylvania Germanic log construction. An original 1790 lambskin indenture of this property hangs in the Keath House. 3. The Harry Shearer Heritage Center is at 88 South Grant Street and contains a museum and our research library concentrating on articles and artifacts from the Manheim area. Among those artifacts are three tall case clocks made by Manheim clockmakers between 1797 and the early 1800s. We also recently acquired items from the Danner Estate which are on display.
